The house is really coming together. The nursery is pretty much done. I bought some really cute pink curtains and the crib is all put together. I bought a diaper changing table from a 2nd hand store. Kevin wasn't too impressed but it cleaned up nicely and I bought nice wooden baskets for storage on the shelves. I have hung up most of the baby's clothes and there's a big comfy rocking chair in her room.
She remains nameless. For the longest time I was certain her name would be Sophia Annabelle but I'm not so sure about it anymore. Kevin was too keen on the name anyway. I guess we'll all have to wait to find out what her name ends up being.
The swelling has now moved up my legs. They look like giant tree trucks and my ankles are protruding out. It's actually alarming to see. I guess since my blood pressure is ok there's nothing to worry about.
Today is Lena's bridal shower. It should be fun!!

36 weeks
I'm 36 weeks along now. My feet and fingers are still swollen. The heartburn has increased and will actually wake me up at night and sometimes I have to sleep sitting up. I've been very tired lately just from not being able to sleep comfortably at night. Mylanta really seems to help though.
The boys and I made a paper-link chain to keep track of how many days are left until the due date. Each day one of the boys tears one off. They got a little excited and tore 3 or 4 off in one day so it was hard for them to not be able to tear another one off for a few days afterwards.
Dennis came to our house from Saturday through Sunday evening and helped Kevin start to get the house ready for the baby. They started putting tile down in our bedroom and ripped out the old carpet and padding in the bedroom that will become Kevin and Drake's room. Dennis laid most of the new flooring in. It looks VERY nice! Once we have that room set up we can start the process of preparing the nursery for the baby.
We get a crib this weekend and Dennis is coming back to help some more. My sister is coming as well with a couple helpers. We should be able to get a lot done.
I am going to decorate with a butterfly theme in the baby's room. I found a crib set at a second hand store for only $18 that came with a bumper, sheet, blanket, quilt and skirt. It's pink with butterflies. I love it.
Well, back to work!

It's been forever
I've been negelecting the blog. The boys are at cub scouts doing Keep America Beautiful. They are picking up trash this morning in the rain with big Kevin. I'm at work until noon and then a few friends are going to stop by to chat and have lunch. I have my next OB appt on Monday. I'll be 34 weeks along.
I threw my back out just by getting out of bed a week ago. It was horrible! After sitting for a while I couldn't stand up straight. It was also causing me to tense my tummy muscles and so everything was sore. I have seen a chiropractor 3 times now and so far today I'm feeling pretty good. I usually feel better in the morning just from lying down all night. I get excited and make plans just to later realize I'm in too much pain to do anything but lay down. I did dishes on Thursday which was actually exciting!
My fingers are so swollen I finally had to give in and take my rings off. It feel strange being so pregnant with no wedding band on. My feet are so swollen that the skin actually burns a little. Kevin pushed down on the skin on my foot last night and you could see the indent where his fingers were. My feet do not look like my feet anymore. They are like little blimps with stubby little toes sticking out :-)

Diaper Shower
I really need to put some pictures out here. The diaper shower was wonderful. I am so blessed to have so many good friends and an awesome family. We received around 1100 diapers and a huge rubbermaid container full of diaper wipes. We have enough clothes that we do not have to buy anymore and others have given us their crib, bassinette, car seat and swing. Thank you to everyone for being so generous.

I Passed!
I just found out this morning that I passed my 2nd glucose test with flying colors. Every blood draw passed.

I'm huge
I feel bad that there are no pictures of how pregnant I am. I'm going to try to focus on getting that done. I'm huge! I haven't gained a pound yet but my belly is really sticking out there. I can't say that I enjoy people's reaction to my size. A daily question I get is if I'm having twins and the answer to that is a big fat NO. I've got 12 more weeks to go until I hit the big 40. I'm looking forward to having my body back. It's fun to feel her move and see my stomach hop around. It's not so fun to have heartburn, have trouble bending over and not being able to lay down comfortably anymore. A friend gave me some maternity pants yesterday and they fit prefectly. That was so exciting!! I can't wait to wear them. I refuse to buy maternity pants because they cost so much it's dumb. I don't want to pay $45-$60 on a pair of pants that I'll wear for a few months. I would much rather by something for the baby. Which reminds me that my insurance company gave me a $15 gift card to buy something for the baby. Sweet.
It's been a very long time...
I'm 28 weeks this week and just did a 3 hour glucose test this morning. Now I know what people were complaining about. The 1 hour test isn't so bad but it's not even close to the same as the long test. I showed up 3 till 8 this morning and started my day out with a blood draw. I then had to drink an entire bottle of extremely sweet orange carbonated drink as fast as I could. That was horrible enough. After fasting since 10pm the last thing my pregnant body wanted was this nasty drink. I choked it down and then went to the waiting room. That's where the fun began. I started to get extremely nauseas and hot. I tried reading by couldn't concentrate for very long. I would cross my legs, uncross them, walk around and lay my head back. I went back in to the lab for my next blood test an hour later and prayed for God to help keep the liquid in my stomach. I went back to the waiting area for another hour long wait. This time I could smell the alcohol that she used to wipe my arm and that's all I could smell. I kept eyeing the trash can just in case I hurled. There was an old man sleeping across from me and he'd wake up and look at me every once in a while. I kept wondering if he could tell I was going to pass out and throw up on myself. The smell of alcohol!! Ugg! I pulled some lotion out of my bag and put some on to try to cover up the smell. At this point I went to the bathroom to hang out in case I hurled. I went back for my next test and another hour long wait. This time I started feeling a little better and I sat where I could see the T.V.. I couldn't hear it but I could see it was The View. Jimmy Kimmel was dressed in drag. That kept me occupied and then someone turned the channel and...JACKPOT...it was The Price Is Right. Now this show seemed fabulous after being bored for hours and I actually caught myself smiling as they spun the wheel to see who would advance to the final round. I couldn't catch the end b/c I had to get my final needle-poking for the day. I got the heck out of there and ate some lunch and now I'm at work.
I can't believe how sick and tired that test makes you feel! I'm completely exhausted. I can't wait for 530 to come so I can go home and lay down. The baby kicked the entire time I was there for the test. I wonder if the sugar got to her too.
